Beyond The Lights That I See

Covering or lining the teeth with precious metals has become a status symbol in modern-day Cuba. However, the associated costs do not just affect the pocket, but the wellbeing and health of the person. The work captures the real-life allegory of a socio-economic phenomenon, and the living metaphor within Cuban society that places higher value on the external, projected appearance rather than the internal, hidden reality.
